Joining
So you want to join the #Space-Club! Well that's good, we appreciate your interest! We recently converted to an official group, which makes the process very simple. Just click the "JOIN" button! We have an open join policy, which means you will be immediately accepted as a member.
Be Aware of not watching our journals. We update them constantly with community news, polls, pack, and contest information, so we highly advise to at least watch our journal. You might miss out on the fun bi-weekly contests and the voting for them!
Submissions
So you're all joined and now you want to submit something to add to our growing gallery! All you have to do is go to the "Featured" gallery and click the "Submit to this Gallery" button. Submissions will not be automatically accepted, but as long as they follow our guidelines, they will be voted into the gallery as soon as an admin can get to it.
How Many Pieces Can I Submit?
Implementation date: March 2010. We will only be accepting four submissions per member, per month. This is to prevent everyone's message centers from overfilling with submissions that have little to no quality control on them. Quality control is your job, not ours. If you want to only display your best works here, that is fine. However, if you want to display work that you know needs improvement, and you just want some critique, that is fine as well.
If we ever start up regular contests, we will add the winning submissions to the gallery as well.
Please be mindful of our submission limits. We will keep track, and if you go over the limit, we will notify you.
What to Submit to the Club

Anything that includes the likes of outer space in it. If the piece has a planet in it, galaxy, stars, etc. as a main point of interest, we will add it. We've previously let some submissions slide through, such as comics and fractals that
might pass as space art, however, with the increased number of members and submissions, we are going to start filtering out images that we do not find fitting.
We plan to start doing regular clean ups to filter out old images soon. If they are in the 25th page in our gallery, chances of anybody going that far back to see them is not very high, so you aren't benefiting anyway.
Submission Guidelines

If planets, stars, UFOs, galaxies, nebulae, or another space related object is NOT the main focus of the submission, it will be denied.

We are mainly a Space Art club, not so much Sci-Fi. This means that the less natural scenery in the submission, the less chance it has of being accepted into the gallery.

If the submission looks like there was very little seriousness taken when creating the artwork, we will probably deny it. We accept a number of submissions from amateurs, as we strive to help new artists learn, grown, and evolve.

PLEASE, please please, try to limit your number of submissions per month to ONE per week. (Totaling FOUR per MONTH). We don't want to flood our watcher's message centers, and we already have over 150 members that are all also submitting deviations.

If you have two versions of the same piece, please only pick one to submit to our gallery. If we see two deviation submissions that look very similar, we will accept the first submission and deny the second.

Space scenes that use mixed mediums, fractals, traditional painting, etc, are definitely acceptable!
If you have any questions or if anything is unclear, feel free to send us a note or leave a comment and we'll do our best to answer.
