Staff Application Information

You must be an active member of the club - meaning you contribute to the gallery, comment on fellow club member's works, and show just some general interest. The current staff here must recognize that you are a worthy addition to the club and will not take your Staff Position for granted.

By joining our Staff, you will be entrusted with the extended permissions to the club. This includes the ability to update journals, invite members, and vote submissions into our galleries. If you are caught abusing your new privileges for any reason, you will be immediately removed from the staff (and possibly entire club depending on severity).

To note, we would like to have at least one staff member for all of the below. We are now a pretty prominent group and there is an overload of things that need to be taken care of around here.

General Staff: The general staff duties just include a little bit of everything - journal management, contest ideas, submissions clean up, etc...

Submissions: This section of staff will probably require the largest number of people, due to the fact that it is the most time consuming job.  The submissions staff members will be committing their time to voting new submissions into our gallery folders, as well as taking care of gallery clean ups.

Contest Manager: It would be nice if we could get some creative and motivated individual with a lot of time on their hands to manage regular contests for the Space-Club. We've got the Bi-Weekly contests to take care of already, and we'd like to have tons more!

Half of the time, people just want to be part of the staff for the recognition. However, we will notice, and if you aren't being helpful to us at all, you will be demoted back to a regular member. It isn't worth anyone's time or the hassle to have an staff spot filled with someone doing nothing for the club. We will remove you from our staff and replace you with someone who we hope will put some use to the spot you left. If sometime later down the line you manage to prove yourself worthy again, we will hold no hard feelings against you and reconsider you for a staff position. If you have been removed from the staff because of privilege abuse, you will not have another chance to join the admin.

If you no longer have the time to contribute to the Space-Club you are welcome to remove yourself from the staff. If you were helpful during your time, you will be added to a former staff list, so you continue to get the respect you deserve. If you ever decide to return to the staff, you will be considered before other applicants, provided you did your job well previously.

It is very hard to make a decision based on applications with one word responses to the above questions, we would like to get to know you slightly before we stick you in our staff. Try to be a bit more descriptive where applicable.

If you can only commit an hour a day, it doesn't mean we won't pick you... but people that have more time to dedicate to the club usually take a little bit of priority.

If you have no prior staff experience, it doesn't mean we won't pick you either. It does add a bit of value to those applicants with good and valid experience.

Add some personality! Like mentioned above, we want to get to know you a little bit before inducting you. The best way for that to happen, is for you to just be you.

This is not an interview. You shouldn't feel pressured or feel the need to be 100% professional. We are all humans!
