50% (41 deviants) said No!
44% (36 deviants) said Yes!
6% (5 deviants) said Other!

Surprisingly large number of results. We will be running polls more often as they seem more effective than journals asking for suggestions. But, getting to the point. We had been using watermarks on our images to encourage viewers to go visit the original or at least read the description. This has rendered relatively ineffective, as we still get favorites constantly, and even the occasional comment that is almost a verbal whip lash at us for using them.

A barely majority of voters (as you can see) said no we shouldn't use watermarks, and a couple people suggested just using the smallest image size that we can for submissions. So, as of the next time we upload submissions, that is how it is going to be. We will do a trial run of it, and see how it works out.

In the mean time we have a new poll up to gather ideas on how to limit submissions. We have an awful system currently, and members' message centers are probably getting filled to the brim with things they don't even want to see. In the end there will be limits placed no matter what, so here's your chance to have a say in how it happens.

We will be choosing a new featured deviation every Friday from now on. These will be completely at random, and we will never feature a piece twice.
